NEW CONTEST GIVES FANS A CHANCE TO PLAY ALONGSIDE HOCKEY LEGENDS
Baysville, ON — (February 25, 2014) If you’ve ever dreamed of playing a game shoulder-to-shoulder with your hockey heroes (and what hockey nut hasn’t?), we introduce Lace Up with the NHL Alumni, a contest that gives you a shot at doing just that.
The NHL Alumni Association and its official brewery partner, Lake of Bays Brewing Company, are putting on a game and after party in Sudbury on Saturday May 10, and they have reserved 18 spots for hockey fans to play alongside the likes of Mark Napier, Mike Pelyk, Bill Derlago, Jack Valiquette and more.
THREE WAYS TO ENTER
Ten positions will be filled by LCBO ballot, seven will come from participating pubs and restaurants and one via Facebook.
AT THE LCBO
Look for ballots at nearly 70 participating LCBOs across Central and Northern Ontario.
AUTOGRAPH SESSIONS WITH MATTHEW BARNABY, MARTY MCSORLEY AND MORE
NHL Alumni will be dropping by for an awareness-raising autograph session at the following times and places:
- March 6: Matthew Barnaby in Sault Ste Marie
- March 8: Marty McSorley and Matthew Barnaby in North Bay
- March 15: Timmins, Sudbury, Barrie. NHL Alumni to be announced.

PUBS & RESTAURANTS IN BRACEBRIDGE, NORTH BAY AND SUDBURY
Seven positions will be awarded from a handful of participating pubs and restaurants: The Old Station Restaurant in Bracebridge, Boston Pizza North Bay, and Overtime Sports Bar and Grill (the site of the post-game party) in Sudbury.
From March 4 to April 25, patrons fill out a ballot to enter. The ballots also double as scratch and win tickets, awarding NHL Alumni memorabilia and discounts for Signature Series Club membership. WALTER GRETZKY PERSONAL APPEARANCE AT BOSTON PIZZA IN NORTH BAY
Walter Gretzky, aka the Great One’s dad, came around for an appearance and autograph session at Boston Pizza in North Bay on Saturday March 8 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The licensee draw will take place in late April.
One lucky Facebook friend who tells their hockey story will get to play. The winner of that one will receive an overnight for two in Sudbury as well. Go to our Facebook Page to enter.
