Forget Wiarton Willy. Here’s a beacon of warmer days to come tailored to the craft beer lover. As of March 1, you can pick up Spring Maple Belgian Blonde Ale at the LCBO.
Made in partnership with the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers’ Association, we’re pretty sure you’ve never had a Belgian ale like it.
Brewed with Belgian yeast (natch), sweet malt, noble hops and Ontario maple syrup, Spring Maple Belgian Blonde Ale clocks in at a hearty 7% alc./vol. and IBUs at a mere 13. “Not all beers have to be hoppy,” says head brewer Dan Unkerskov.
You can find Spring Maple at participating LCBOs (LCBO product number 333476). Note that it will take a few days for the beer to arrive and hit the shelves. Spring Maple is also available on tap at select pubs and restaurants across Ontario.

And remember, once it’s gone, it’s gone! Until next year.
