Baysville, ON — (July 23, 2014) Lake of Bays Brewing Company and Les Stroud Productions are proud to announce that the two have teamed up to produce a series of Survivorman-themed beers.
“We are looking forward to developing some truly wild and unique beers,” said Darren Smith, president and CEO of Lake of Bays Brewing. “Survivorman is about resilience in nature, and Lake of Bays is proudly based and branded around the frontier and ‘the industrious North.’ It is such a great fit for both of us. We can hardly wait.”
Les Stroud is equally enthusiastic. “Survivorman and Canadian-made, awesome beer by Lake of Bays Brewing. There is no greater match up in the history of civilization!”
The company plans to release the first beer in the Survivorman Series in early 2015.
Les Stroud is the internationally acclaimed creator, filmmaker and star of Survivorman, the TV phenomenon in which Stroud documents his struggles in the harshest of conditions in wildernesses around the world. Survivorman is one of the highest rated shows in the history of Travel and Escape Canada, OLN Canada, the Science Channel US and Discovery Channel US.
Survivorman virtually spawned the entire genre of ‘survival TV’ and remains one of the highest-rated repeat shows on the Discovery Channel. Stroud is also a musician, an activist and a father, as well as an advanced survival trainer for the Canadian Military Armed Forces.
