Congratulations to Lil and Peter M., winners of the Ulitmate Lake of Bays Experience summer 2014.
The two enjoyed their prize on the weekend of September 28. Lucky ducks, they got perfect weather, and the autumn leaves were at their peak.
But Lil can tell you in her own words…and pictures.
First off I would like to say from the very beginning to the very end our experience was amazing! The drive into the area was absolutely beautiful. Around every corner it was a wall of spectacular colour. We arrived at your Lake of Bays Brewery and had a very warm welcome from Liz and Jean. After sampling a few of your beers, Liz took the time to explain the history behind the brewery and then took us on a tour and we both found it very interesting. She did a great job explaining the process to us and we were very impressed. We had a nice lunch at your picnic tables and then went on our way to Cleveland’s House. On top of that we received a 24 mix of all your beers. That was a great bonus! 
Wow … Cleveland’s House is an amazing property. Since we arrived earlier than check-in time we took advantage of that time to look around. A beautiful place with so much to do and so many beautiful buildings and gardens.
Our Float Plane flight (Lake Country Airways) was at 3 pm. so we eagerly waited on the dock to see the plane arrive. Our pilot Jeff was awesome and took us on a beautiful flight around the Lake of Bays area and we were both awestruck at the beauty from the sky. It was like a painting that never ended. We both enjoyed it very, very much! We were so happy the weather turned out as amazing as it did because it was just a perfect day for that flight.
After the flight we checked into our room at Cleveland’s House. It was just beautiful. We had a room at the Terrace Suites and had a wonderful large deck with a view of the lake. Couldn’t ask for anything more, it was very, very nice! We later had an wonderful dinner at Cleveland’s House and the staff and food was truly amazing. Peter had steak and I had chicken and both meals were delicious! Kudos to the chef! We then had a wonderful relaxing evening and woke to a beautiful mist over the water which we could see from our room. We actually were still full from the previous night’s dinner and didn’t even go for breakfast! But we did enjoy the wonderful coffee that was in our suite outside on our terrace.
We would both like to thank you for the amazing Lake of Bays Experience. A wonderful getaway with amazing weather and wonderful memories. Thanks so much to everyone involved. We will definitely be back to the area again and would definitely recommend your brewery, the Float Plane ride and Cleveland’s House!
